Godt nyttår to everyone!
I hope Christmas was a joyful and happy time for you. Congratulations again on the wonderful singing at the Carol Service.
As already confirmed, at the service next week for the opening of the new building we will sing Bruckner’s “Locus iste” (in Latin) and I would also like to include one piece in Norwegian/Latin (“Vitae Lux”, which many of us know from singing last year) and, probably, Chilcott’s “Mid-winter” (sung at the Carol Service). There will also be a quartet from the Norwegian Marine Band, so it’s quite a big day!
The current provisional schedule (rehearsals dependent on use of the church by confirmation camps) is:
New Building Opening Jan 12
- Thursday 9 January: rehearsal 7pm – 9pm
- Sunday 12 January: 9.30 for 9.45 rehearsal + 11amservice (attended by the Bishops of Bergen and Southwark)
Service Feb 09
- Thursday 23 January: rehearsal 7pm – 9pm
- Thursday 6 February: rehearsal 7pm – 9pm
- Sunday 9 February: 9.30 for 9.45 rehearsal + 11amservice
Dag Magnus Farewell
- Thursday 6 March: rehearsal 7pm – 9pm
- Thursday 20 March: rehearsal 7pm – 9pm
- Sunday 23 March: 9.30 for 9.45 rehearsal + 11amservice (Dag Magnus’ farewell)
Service April 20
- Thursday 27 March: rehearsal 7pm – 9pm
- Thursday 10 April: rehearsal 7pm – 9pm
- Sunday 20 April: 9.30 for 9.45 rehearsal + 11amservice (Easter Day)
It would be very helpful to know of any that you cannot make (I already know of a few for the first two dates but please confirm).
